19th c Watercolour of
Country House and Garden
This is an
attractive 19th c watercolour of a country house
and garden. It is initialled N H and dated 1887.
An inscription on the back states that the
watercolour is of a Buckinghamshire garden by
Nelly Haddon (see Collectors Guide: April 1988).
The
watercolour is painted by a good hand with lush
vibrant colours and intricate detail.
It is in
good condition with no fading, tears to the
paper or foxing and is set in the original gilt
mount. The moulded gilt frame has been replaced
more recently.
