Hepplewhite Style Chairs
This is an
attractive pair of late Victorian solid mahogany
chairs in the Hepplewhite style.
The shield
shaped backs are well carved with wheatsheaf motifs
and scroll carving to the base of the splats.
The chairs
have a serpentine fronted drop in seat upholstered in
original floral needlepoint over square tapering
legs and spade feet joined by an H stretcher.
Good
original colour and condition with no breaks or
cracks in the legs or frame.
