This is an attractive Late 19th century oil painting on canvas of a landscape composed of a grand country house set in its grounds, with a farmworker tending sheep in the foreground.  The trees with their autumnal foliage are particularly well painted. 

Although the painting is unsigned, it is obviously by a competent hand. An inscription on the back states that this is a painting of Spencer Grange in Essex by Day.

The oil is in very good condition, with no tears or old repairs and is housed in the original gilt frame.

Overall, this is an attractive oil painting in very good condition that is ready to hang on the wall and enjoy.
